PAZZAGLI CONTEMPORARY ART PARK – FLORENCE
The Pazzagli Contemporary Art Park is found in the southern quarter of Florence, in via Sant’Andrea di Rovezzano 5, between the river Arno and the station that connects the city to Rome. It is one of the most important Parks of Contemporary Art in Tuscany, where there are over 200 sculptures by Artist Enzo Pazzagli.
The park covers about 24,000 square meters and is bordered by the Arno.
In the Park 300 cypress trees create one of the largest living sculptures in the world, entitled “The Trinity”,a face with two profiles. A work that can be admired in all its entirety (15000 square meters) just looking at it from above or on Google Earth, but that is also appreciated when walking among the trees.
Inside the Park, the Artist Enzo Pazzagli (author of the “Pegasus” symbol of the Tuscany Region) has installed about 200 sculptures (the first “I tre Arlecchini” dates back to 1966), and also houses works of Guasti and some cows coming from the “Cow Parade”.
At the entrance the “Photovoltaic Flowers” of the Arch. Massimiliano Silvestri, a combination of art and technology, functionality and aesthetics.
There are also some individual masks of the Viareggio Carnival.
You can walk among the sculptures enjoying the cool of the evening, through perspectives and suggestions created by the lighting of sunset and night.
The snack bar is also open to sip organic and traditional drinks.
The Pazzagli Art Park is loved by families, photographers and artists. In the Park you can fully experience the Italian lifestyle.
